Marcie MacLellan

Prior to establishing and operating IN CONTEXT, Marcie held numerous senior roles in the marketing, public relations and advertising fields. Drawing on over ten years of experience gained within the marketing industry at large, her expertise is both varied and strong.

In addition to holding senior management roles with well-recognized companies such as Ipsos-Reid, National Post, and J.C. Williams Group, Marcie is a published expert on topics related to marketing. To date, she has published over 100 articles in various publications across North America.

Over the course of her career, Marcie has appeared as a ‘marketing expert' on numerous radio and television programs, and has been heavily quoted in a broad range of publications such as National Post, Globe and Mail and Vancouver Province. She pens a regular column for the Globe and Mail's online edition, The Office Journal, and Business Services West.

As an experienced public speaker, Marcie has guest lectured for the UBC Internet Marketing and MBA Marketing programs, and has presented at numerous industry-recognized events across Canada. Highly active in the marketing community, Marcie founded the Vancouver Chapter of the Association of Internet Marketing and Sales (AIMS), held the role of Events Chair for the International Internet Marketing Association, and is past Executive Director for Digital Eve Vancouver. Marcie is currently the Vice-President for the National Chapter of Wired Women, and holds the role of Editorial Director for the BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Marcie is a Journalism graduate, and has resided in Vancouver, BC since early 2001.
